The month of May means the start of Taurus season, better weather, and (arguably) most important: some of the best beauty launches we've seen this year. With summer just around the corner, brands are starting to release products that are geared toward the warmer incoming weather. Think fun lip products, cream-based everything, summer scents, and lots of bronzers. If you're looking forward to the perfect beach day or prepping for an upcoming music festival, now's the time to stock up on items to keep you glowing.

Still, with as many exciting launches as there are right now, no one person possibly has the time to test them all — and that's where we come in. Our editors have been hard at work testing the latest crop of beauty products that have dropped in the past few months (or have yet to hit stores), and we're sharing all of our favorites. The best part? There's something for everyone. Whether you're looking for your perfect new fragrance, a product to help you fake that sun-kissed bronzed look, or the best hair mask to get you through the next few months of swimming in the ocean and pool, we've got you covered.

We rounded up the best makeup, hair, skin, body, and nail products that are worth checking out this month. Keep reading to see all of our picks.

Best Thick Moisturizer

Bubble Power Wave Super Hydrating Moisturizer ($16)

"Bubble has made a sampling of moisturizers that I love for different reasons and the newest innovation is no different. The Power Wave Super Hydrating Moisturizer is for the beauty lover craving a thick, cushiony formula that envelops the skin in rich moisture. It comes in the brand's signature push-top pump for easy application and is made with peptides, jojoba oil, and aquaxyl to nourish and repair your skin's moisture barrier." — Jessica Harrington, senior beauty editor

Best SPF

U beauty Multimodal Sheer Mineral Sunscreen SPF 25 ($98)

"I have dry, acne-prone skin, and as much as I know SPF is necessary for protecting me from the sun, I hate wearing it on my face because it usually breaks me out. The U Beauty Multimodal Sheer Mineral Sunscreen SPF 25 has been a game-changer for me ever since I first tested it while I was out in the desert for a few music festivals. It's been great for wearing under makeup and keeping my skin protected, but the best part? Not a pimple in sight." — Renee Rodriguez, staff writer and social producer

Best Lightweight Moisturizer

Sothys Hydrating Satin Youth Cream ($96)

"Sothys, a French skin-care favorite, recently launched in the US, bringing with it the Hydrating Satin Youth Cream. The lightweight but hydrating formula is packed with hyaluronic acid to leave your skin feeling soft and supple. Applying it feels like a little treat." — Jessica Harrington, senior beauty editor

Best Acne Treatment

Proactiv Redness Correcting Spot Treatment ($22)

"While dealing with angry pimples is annoying, the post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and redness are almost just as bad. I'm especially susceptible to this problem, with discoloration lingering for months after a breakout subsides. Luckily, the new Proactiv Redness Correcting Treatment is a two-in-one formula that treats acne with salicylic acid while also helping calm that color left behind in acne's wake." — Jessica Harrington, senior beauty editor

Best Blush

Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge Velvet Matte Cream Blush ($36)

"I won't lie to you, when I first swatched the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge Velvet Matte Cream Blush, I didn't know how I felt. I'm decidedly a dewy, glowy blush fan through and through, so the word matte gave me pause. However, after applying this whipped formula to my cheeks (with my fingers), I was sold. The petal-soft texture melts into the skin seamlessly, giving you the prettiest wash of color that goes on subtly but can be built up. The pigment can be used on your lips and cheeks, and comes in five colors." — Jessica Harrington, senior beauty editor

Best Lip Liner

Glossier Lip Line Enhancing Hydrating Longwear Lip Liner Pencil ($18)

"It isn't very often that I find myself completely wowed by a lip liner. I find that there are typically too many options in colors similar to one another, and in most cases I stick to the two shades I know look good on me. I don't want to sound dramatic, but that mindset changed as soon as I tested the Glossier Lip Line Enhancing Hydrating Longwear Lip Liner Pencil in Espresso. Not only did it go on smooth as butter, but it lasted me for hours at a sweaty music festival. Plus, the color is drool-worthy." — Renee Rodriguez, staff writer and social producer

Best Bronzer

Iconic London Bronzing Elixir ($30)

"I bronze really easily in the sun, but I'm intense about never letting my face see the light of day. OK, I do go out in daylight, but I always make sure to load up on SPF and wear a hat. The one problem? It leaves my face an entirely different shade than my body. The Iconic London Bronzing Elixir has been my go-to product whenever I want to add some color to my face, but I'm too lazy to do a full self-tan situation. Plus, it works wonders on my dry, acne-prone skin without breaking me out or leaving me with yucky skin flakes." — Renee Rodriguez, staff writer and social producer

Best Concealer

Caliray Hideaway Brightening + Hydrating Under Eye Color Corrector Concealer in Sunlight ($28)

"Caliray just added two new shades to the Hideaway Brightening + Hydrating Undereye Color Corrector Concealer: Sunlight, a light medium with a peach undertone for neutral tones, and Radiant, a light medium with a pink undertone for cool skin. I've been using Sunlight to brighten up my undereye area, and it works like a charm. It's a creamy, hydrating concealer with subtle color-correcting tints to fight the blue/green shadows in dark circles. I don't wear foundation, only concealer in certain areas, and it has a beautiful, radiant, skin-like finish." — Jessica Harrington, senior beauty editor

Best Setting Spray

Kosas Cloud Set Airy Setting Spray + Smoothing Mist ($36)

"If you're in the market for a setting spray that leaves your skin looking glowy vs. totally matte, you'll love Kosas's new Cloud Set Spray. I wore it to a wedding recently and my makeup didn't budge — even after three hours of dancing. It doesn't leave skin feeling sticky, is hydrating, and works to improve skin texture over time." — Alida Araica, manager, newsletter

e.l.f. Glow Reviver Melting Lip Balm ($9)

"The new e.l.f. Glow Reviver Melting Lip Balm is pure perfection. It's a silky, buttery balm-gloss hybrid. It comes in six beautiful shades that leave a wash of sheer but pigmented color on your lips that can be built up. The blend of shea, mango, and cocoa butter, plus hyaluronic acid, makes the formula so cushiony and hydrating." — Jessica Harrington, senior beauty editor

Best Hair Cream

Oribe Gold Lust Repair and Restore Night Hair Cream ($72)

"The journey to getting my hair looking like a million bucks has been ongoing for years and will probably never end. What might make it a little shorter, however, is the new Oribe Gold Lust Repair and Restore Night Hair Cream. I'm already obsessed with the brand's entire Gold Lust line, and this product is no exception. It smells divine and leaves my hair looking silky and feeling as soft as ever." — Renee Rodriguez, staff writer and social producer

Best Dry Shampoo

Batiste Sweat Activated Dry Shampoo ($10)

"I've been a Batiste dry shampoo fan since I first discovered what dry shampoo is. The brand is known for its various formulations, but the new Sweat-Activated Dry Shampoo is particularly good. It keeps your roots feeling fresh for up to 24 hours, thanks to the 'smart' technology that works its magic when you need it most — aka when it detects oil and moisture. While you can apply it post-workout to address sweat and revive your style, I recommend spraying some on your roots before hitting the gym to be most effective." — Jessica Harrington, senior beauty editor

Best Hair Clip

The Hair Edit Couture Claw Clip ($13)

"I truthfully can't remember how I styled my hair on the daily before claw clips made their triumphant return. Now, my collection is larger than it probably needs to be, but I keep finding new additions that I want to add to the rotation. The Hair Edit's new Couture Claw Clip is so chic yet simple that I've been grabbing it nearly every day." — Jessica Harrington, senior beauty editor

Best Body Lotion

Iota Oishii Berry Lotion ($38)

Yes, you could spend $19 on a single strawberry at Erewhon. But I encourage you to try Iota's latest food-inspired collab instead (it's a much better investment). The Oishii Berry Lotion has an airy, gel-like texture that's perfect for spring and summer and leaves an incredible strawberry aroma on the skin. Made with Oishii's renowned Omakase Berry — which is rich in antioxidants and can help minimize the appearance of wrinkles — along with rambutan, caffeine, and niacinamide that'll leave skin looking glowy and bright, it has everything I'd want out of a body lotion. PS, if you really want that sweet strawberry scent to linger, check out Iota's Oishii Berry Body Wash, too. — Alida Araica, manager, newsletter

Best Nail Polish

Chillhouse Forever Wear Nail Polish ($12)

"I tried a few shades of Chillhouse's new Forever Wear Nail Polishes and was pleasantly surprised by the gel-like finish of the polish after topping it off with Chillhouse's Magic Finish Top Coat. My nails were painted for over a week and probably would've lasted two if I hadn't hand-washed my dishes. And at just $12, the polishes are a steal if you don't have time for or want to spend on a salon visit." — Alida Araica, manager, newsletter

Best Fragrance

Snif Hot Cakes Perfume ($25)
"Wearing perfumes inspired by sweet breakfast foods isn't usually my thing, but after trying this scent from Snif, I might be officially converted. While it is indeed strong (thanks to notes like pancake accord and maple syrup), it's not too overwhelming and actually layerable. Since it's so musky and I'm obsessed with perfume layering, I tried mixing it with one of my more dainty scents and the pairing worked perfectly, creating this ambrosial, balanced combo. If you're looking to smell delicious, this scent is your best bet." — Naomi Parris, assistant editor, shopping
