AFL WAG Emma Hawkins has revealed she's 'stranded' in New Orleans during the city's busiest weekend of the year.

Emma, who is married to AFL star Tom Hawkins, took to Instagram on Saturday to reveal her accommodation was 'cancelled' amid an influx of Super Bowl visitors.

'Stranded...' began the caption on the 36-year-old's image of husband Tom standing out on a New Orleans street.

The 36-year-old Geelong star held his phone and poked his tongue out for the image, while the couple's friends stood by looking concerned.

The image was timestamped 8:15pm.

Emma continued the caption: 'When you arrive in New Orleans on the busiest weekend of the year to find out your booking.com [accommodation] has been.... cancelled.'

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Hawkins for comment.

Over 125,000 visitors flooded into the Louisiana city ahead of Sunday's game, booking out much of the local accommodation.

High-profile guests at the game included US President Donald Trump, Taylor Swift and actor Bradley Cooper.

Trump sent crowds wild as he took to the field and made history as the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl game.

Trump strode onto the field with his daughter Ivanka and son Eric to shake hands with players and local cops before kickoff at the New Orleans Superdome.

He posed for photos with family members of victims in the New Year's Eve ISIS attack on Bourbon Street and emergency responders and waved to the cheering crowd.

Super Bowl 59 will be contested between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Emma and Tom married in 2016 and share daughters Arabella, seven and Primrose, four, as well as son Henry, two.

Tom is a two-time premiership player who recorded 359 games with Geelong.

Following a brief stint as an actress, Emma went on to co-found kidswear fashion label Homegrown Kids.
