Beau Ryan has revealed the jaw-dropping amount he was offered to appear on the second season of Ten's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The Triple M radio star described the sum as being 'more [money] than I've ever seen' during an interview with News.com.au on Monday.

He claimed the offer, which was for the second season of the hit reality TV show, was worth more than $500,000.

The 39-year-old said the amount was 'a lot more' than that offered for later seasons.

Beau ultimately accepted a lower offer to appear on the eighth season of the show, which aired in 2022.

He also revealed he turned down the initial big money deal because he was contracted to Nine at the time.

Despite his efforts to claim the more than half-a-million dollar season two offer for his eventual appearance, Beau said his request was denied.

'I said [to Ten], "Do you still have that offer from 2015 or 16?" and they said, "No, we don't,"' laughed the former NRL star.

The payday revelation comes after Beau revealed the shock reason behind his very controversial walkout on I'm A Celebrity in 2022.

Speaking Triple M’s Beau, Tarsh & Woodsy last month, Ryan said his stint on the Channel Ten show was filmed during Covid lockdowns and left him feeling exhausted.

'Watching the new season of IAC last night, brought back a lot of memories. It was a Covid series and about a month before I agreed to go on the jungle, we were meant to go on The Amazing Race for a season so I'd done quarantine,' Beau began.

'Then it was deemed too dangerous to continue the series. I was 12 days in to quarantine, came out and agreed to do the jungle... two more weeks of quarantine!'

Beau said the consecutive stints in isolation took a toll on both his mental and physical wellbeing and he was not in a good place when he began his stint on IAC.

'I was so mentally cooked and physically drained. I just had to get home. I was concerned about my wife who was home-schooling the kids,' he continued.

He claimed the offer, which was for the second season of the hit reality TV show, was worth more than $500,000

'My wife was alone with the kids, no access to family. I’m not making any excuses, I carried on like a pork chop.'

The presenter added that while he regretted leaving the show under such circumstances he had to do what was right for his family.

In 2022, in what was I'm a Celebrity's eighth season, Beau walked out on the 14th day in the jungle - which cost him $200,000.

His reason was sparked by a late-night discussion with his campmates, where he admitted he missed his family and needed to leave.

'As you know the last couple of days I've been struggling, and today I was a bit broken. It's been really hard for me,' he said on the show.

'The reason I did this show is to test myself, which I have. I've shown Australia the good, bad and ugly of me.

'I've had some moments where I regret, some moments I don't and I'm proud of everything that's happened.'

'I remember growing up and a guy two houses down from me - the dad was always away for work. I don't want to be that dad,' he continued.

'My kids need their dad. My wife needs a husband and I need to find myself back.

'I came in here to prove myself. I can't gain anything else from this show. My journey here is over.'

He then uttered the famous words: 'I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!'

In 2023, Beau opened up about the gruesome moments he endured on the show.

The ex-NRL star appeared on Nova's Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie where he revealed the most disgusting thing he ate during one of the eating challenges.

When radio host Michael 'Wippa' Wipfli asked the sports star what the 'worst thing' he 'had to get down the gullet' was, Beau immediately answered: 'The eyeball.'

He added that drinking animal urine and 'the different types of p**s' he had to drink on the show wasn't as gross as chewing on an eyeball.

'They're too big to actually just swallow. You have to bite it,' he said. 'I reckon I had it in my mouth for about five minutes.'

During the challenge from the 2022 season of I'm a Celebrity, Aussie football legends Beau, Nathan Buckley and Derek Kickett swallowed their pride as they competed in what was dubbed as the show's most disgusting eating challenge to date.
