Wyatt Russell teases what USAgent has been up to coming into Thunderbolts. James Gunn keeps hyping up when we’ll see more from Superman. Plus, David Tennant discusses returning to Good Omens. Spoilers, away!
Thunderbolts*
During a recent interview with Screen Rant, Wyatt Russell revealed the USAgent has his own “shame room” following the events of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
You find John in this place where he’s still hiding everything in bravado. He’s hiding all of his insecurities with this facade of, ‘I am still the best, even though I may have made choices that weren’t Captain America choices.’ [What’s interesting] about going into his shame room, where you see the moment where he’s looking at his family and the things that he’s done, is that it’s a very subtle shame room. It was originally just a conversation and an argument between the two parents, and as a father, I thought it was very important to have the child there because if you’re not paying attention to your kid because you’re absorbed in your own selfishness?”
[I don’t] think John ever regrets killing somebody because that’s his job. That was what they built him to do. It’s the idea that, “Oh, people don’t like me. I’ve always been celebrated and loved, and now people hate me.” And the shame. [John’s] looking at himself being more concerned with himself than he is with just picking up [his] kid, and [believes] it’ll magically fix it if you actually can do that. That’s a central theme of the movie. The redemptive arc is, “Listen to other people. Get out of your way. Get out of your own way. Connect with these people. And if you do, by the way, you’re going to find some element of team and a little bit of redemption at the end of it.” And I think it’s fun. We leave them in a place where there’s a lot more for them to do and a lot more places for them to go because it doesn’t fully resolve those aspects of themselves.

Good Omens
Meanwhile, David Tennant told The Independent “there’s been a slight rejig with personnel” behind the third season of Good Omens.
We’re doing Good Omens again. We’re going back to do the final. We’re doing a final. There’s been a slight rejig with the personnel. But we still get to tell that story – I think it would have been very difficult to leave it on a cliffhanger. So I’m glad that’s been worked out.
