The Apple Watch Ultra 3 hasn't even been out for a month, but we're already seeing fantastic deals on the Apple Watch Ultra 2 in Amazon's Big Deal Days sale. Right now, you can get the Apple Watch Ultra 2 in the US discounted from $799 down to just $649 at Amazon – its lowest price yet, and a 19% discount.

In the UK? You can also snag the Apple Watch Ultra 2 at a smaller 8% discount, from £649 down to just £609. However, this is still the lowest price it's ever been on Amazon in the UK.

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is a fantastic watch, and with the Apple Watch Ultra 3 out in the world, it's no surprise the Ultra 2 has now decreased in price, which is great news for smartwatch fans. You can check out our Amazon Prime Day hub for our pick of the sales but, as someone who spends a lot of time evangelizing about Garmin watches, this sort of deal is just the thing to tempt me to switch.

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 has almost all the features of the all-new Ultra 3, making any significant discount on this watch a stellar value purchase. It's only missing a couple of hardware bits, such as 5G connectivity, satellite, and an additional six hours of battery life. All the software-based Apple Intelligence features, a comprehensive suite of workout metrics, and the smorgasbord of third-party apps available are all present and correct. Apple doesn't normally see big discounts, making these deals even more tempting.

As a keen runner, I've always been invested in Garmin's ecosystem, and I'm currently rocking this year's Garmin Venu X1. However, a tempting discount on an Apple Watch Ultra 2 might just convince me to switch – it's currently lurking in my basket, and the urge to buy is growing stronger...
