Jelly Roll Shares His Weight Loss Transformation Goal for 2026 After Dropping 120 Pounds

Jelly Roll is reaching new heights in his journey to better health and fitness.

The 40-year-old has shared a milestone he reached amid his 120-pound weight loss.

"I hiked a mountain the other day. Camelback," the country star—real name Jason Bradley DeFord—told E! News exclusively at EA Sports' pre-Super Bowl 2025 party The Madden Bowl in New Orleans Feb. 7, referencing an Arizona hike. "There is no way that would have been possible beforehand, so it’s great to see that progress and we still are going."

American Idol's newly announced "Artist-in-Residence," who had shared in November that he had lost 120 pounds during his weight loss journey and noted in 2018 that he weight over 500 three years prior, also revealed what motivates him in life.

"It isn't always the case where I feel focused or positive," Jelly Roll said. "The things that motivate me and keep me going are the people I have met along the way across the juveniles and rehab centers or prisons along the way. The people that come up to me and bravely share their sobriety date, or a story of something that they've dealt with, or someone they’ve lost."

The "Wild Ones" singer—who has battled addiction and served time in prison in past years for aggravated robbery and drug charges—continued, "Seeing the resilience of the human spirit, there is no greater motivation than to keep going."

His wife Bunnie XO has been an avid supporter of his wellness journey and body transformation, which he has said he wants to showcase on the cover of a magazine.

"I wanna be on the cover of Men’s Health," Jelly Roll said on the Dec. 15 episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast, "by March of 2026."

Bunnie exclaimed, "Let's go!"

Her husband continued, "That's my new goal. I want to have one of the biggest transformations."

Jelly Roll and Bunnie—real name Alyssa DeFord—have been married since 2016 and she is a stepmom to his kids Bailee Ann, 16, and Noah Buddy, 8.

The singer shared the key to the success of his relationship with his wife. "There's not one rule, but a big thing is just prioritizing each other and the family," he said. "And making it that simple."
