Married At First Sight Ryan Donnelly's shocking intimacy week comment about his wife Jacqui revealed - as his behaviour is slammed by his co-stars

1 month ago 9

Married At First Sight star Ryan Donnelly appalled his fellow grooms on Tuesday night when he made an insensitive comment about his wife Jacqui Burfoot.

The controversial groom, 36, stunned his male co-stars by joking the yoga teacher, 29, 'has got crazy eyes... but she gives good h**d'.

His heartless remark came during an intimacy workshop with expert Alessandra Rampolla—and the men were quick to vent their frustration to their own partners.

The debacle began when Ryan rehashed his most recent feud with Jacqui, saying: 'Suddenly, the crazy eyes came out.'

As his fellow contestants were left stunned by the remark, Alessandra, 50, probed the project manager by asking: 'What do you mean... crazy eyes?'

Unaware of the suddenly tense atmosphere, Ryan giggled and said: 'Well when she wants to discuss something she’s not happy with, then she gets quite... intense.'

He went on to say she ruined 'the whole mood' of Sex Week when she tried to express her hurt over him refusing to say she's the 'most beautiful girl in the world'.

Ryan then followed up with the shock remark: 'But, I gotta say, she gives awesome h***... Phwoar! Like, absolutely hot.'

The other grooms, left horrified by his inappropriate comment, were quick to inform their own wives of what happened during the intimacy workshop.

'He was talking about Jacqui and was explaining how angry she got last night,' a shocked Dave Thomas later told wife Jamie Marinos.

'He joked about it by saying, "And then the real crazy eyes came out."'

Appalled, Jamie asked if Ryan 'took' the insult from fellow groom Jake Luik, who previously said Jacqui had 'crazy eyes', and Dave confirmed this was the case

Dave added he wished he 'pulled [Ryan] up on the spot' and said his comments were inappropriate—revealing Ryan also said: 'But Jacqui gives good h**d though.'

The towering tradie confessed he planned to later confront Ryan at an upcoming dinner party over his shocking comments about Jacqui.

'You can't go saying your wife has crazy eyes in front of a group of men,' Jacqui later told producers.

'Especially when that was the comment Jake used to slag [Jacqui] off behind her back.'

Groom Jeff Gobbels also told wife Rhi Disljenkovic about the incident, saying: 'He said the same comment that Jake said!

'That was a comment that hurt his wife's feelings... and he goes and repeats it.

'He just said it like a throwaway line and all us guys were like, "Mate, what are you doing?" It was hard to listen to.'

Rhi responded: 'I'm pretty surprised Ryan has said that, considering [the original comment] upset his partner in the first place.'

Daily Mail Australia can reveal Dave, widely regarded as the 'unexpected hero' of this season, will call out Ryan for his shock remarks in front of the entire group.

According to a production insider, Dave and fellow groom Billy Belcher were horrified by the crude remark, particularly given Jacqui was completely unaware of what was being said about her.

'So we're at the workshop with Alessandra, we're talking and she's asking questions,' the source revealed.

'We were unaware of Ryan and Jacqui's progress in their sexual relationship at all. We had no idea. Then, all of a sudden, Ryan says, "Jacqui's got crazy eyes, but she gives good h**d."

'It took everyone by surprise, especially Dave and Billy. They were just like, "What the f**k?" It made them feel really uncomfortable. The comment was quite disgusting and made everyone in the room uncomfortable.'

'Dave went back home and told Jamie he was going to bring this up with Ryan,' the insider continued.

'He was like, "It's not on at all. It's f**king disgusting." He wasn't going to let it slide.'

Jacqui was reportedly left in tears when she later discovered what Ryan said about her, leading Dave to take a stand.

Dave's strong moral stance has cemented him as a rare breed among reality TV's so-called 'nice guys'.

While many contestants attempt to play the good guy only for their true colours to be revealed later, insiders say Dave is genuinely different.

'He's unlike anything the show has seen before,' the source added.

'A lot of people come in and put on this "good guy" act, but eventually the mask slips. With Dave, what you see is what you get.'

Married At First Sight continues Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel Nine and 9Now.
