I love my portable power stations. They allow me to sail through power outages, and live in comfort when I'm off-grid. But portable power stations are expensive, and when it comes to the bigger units, saving even a little can make a massive difference.

Well, what about taking 42% off the Jackery Explorer 2000 Plus 6 kWh kit? This normally retails for $6,499, but in this current deal (plus an on-page coupon), the price tag has been slashed to only $3,533.

This unit consists of two separate parts. First, there's the portable power station itself is a 2042.8Wh unit.

And it's big.

The Explorer 2000 Plus weighs 61.5 lbs (27.9 kg), and that's before you add the two PackPlus E2000 Plus battery packs, which weigh 41.9 pounds (19 kg) and each add 2042.8 Wh of power storage. So, the power station and the two expansion batteries have a combined weight of over 145 pounds (65.9 kg). But that adds up to a whopping 6,000Wh of power storage.

This is a seriously big piece of kit, but the fact that the three parts stack on top of each other, and thanks to the retractable handle and wheels on the power station, it's surprisingly portable.

This is a highly expandable setup that can grow along with your power needs. You can join together two Explorer 2000 Plus units, and connect those to five PackPlus E2000 Plus battery packs, to give you a whopping 24,000 Wh of power-storing capacity -- enough, according to Jackery, to provide power for the average household for two weeks.

Why I recommend this product

I tested and reviewed this power station and expansion battery back in the summer of 2023. Since then, I've had it around the house for power cuts and brownouts, wheeled it outdoors when I need power where an extension cord can't reach, and also had it banging around in my van and truck.

It then went on to get even heavier use by my good friend Will Lord, an expert in Paleolithic and Bronze Age technologies and the guy to have around if you found yourself transported back to the Bronze Age. There it lives in an earth lodge and is wheeled out to run power tools and lights and such things.

Earth lodge life is hard, so that's quite a harsh test for any device, and the Explorer 2000 Plus has exceeded what I'd expect from a power station in terms of durability and longevity.

And now you can pick up this power station setup for $3,799, and if you use the coupon JAOFFER07 on Amazon, you get an additional 7% off, bringing the price down to $3,533.
