The Dyson V8 is definitely long in the tooth now, but every time it's been discounted deeply, it gets sucked up by shoppers (pardon the pun). This popularity led to the British brand releasing a new and upgraded version called the Dyson V8 Cyclone.
Not only is it an upgraded version, it doesn't cost more than the older model at full price. At AU$649 without a discount, I think the V8 Cyclone is good value, more so because one of my colleagues has reviewed it and she thinks the small upgrades make it the better machine.
If you're still not convinced the V8 Cyclone is worth it, let me put it another way.
Firstly, it's a 2025 release, so it takes advantage of the latest tech that you won't even find on the V10 Cyclone or the V11 Advanced. And even with the current Black Friday discounts, the V10 is going for AU$694 directly from Dyson while the V11 Advanced is down to AU$675.
Long story short, the brand-new Dyson is cheaper than two other older models. Our reviewer also tested the new V8 against the older V11 and found that they both clean just as well, but the V8 Cyclone is lighter and easier to move around. It also matches the V11's runtime and has removable batteries too (unlike the older V8).
So why wouldn't you go with the new Dyson V8 Cyclone?
