President Donald Trump will announce plans for a Bitcoin strategic reserve at the upcoming White House Crypto Summit scheduled for this Friday, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick told The Pavlovic Today on Wednesday. The move aims to position the US as a global leader in digital assets and blockchain innovation.

According to Lutnick, the President envisions a strategic Bitcoin reserve as a key component of America’s financial future.

“The President definitely thinks that there’s a Bitcoin strategic reserve,” Lutnick said, adding that he expected a plan for handling crypto assets to be revealed on Friday.

Lutnick said that President Trump has been consistently interested in the idea of a US Bitcoin reserve, discussing it throughout his campaign. He believes this interest will turn into action this Friday.

According to the Commerce Secretary, other crypto assets will also be addressed but under a different framework.

“So Bitcoin is one thing, and then the other currencies, the other crypto tokens, I think, will be treated differently—positively, but differently,” he said. Apart from Bitcoin, Trump mentioned in his prior statement that the US crypto reserve would include ETH, XRP, SOL, and ADA.

Last Friday, White House AI and crypto czar David Sacks announced that President Trump would host the inaugural White House Crypto Summit on March 7. The event seeks to establish a clear regulatory framework for crypto, promote innovation, and enhance economic liberty.

A number of industry leaders, investors, and government officials will join the administration to discuss the future of digital assets.

According to FOX Business journalist Eleanor Terrett, the confirmed attendees are Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, Strategy’s executive chairman Michael Saylor, Paradigm’s co-founder Matt Huang, Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev, and Chainlink’s co-founder Sergey Nazarov, to name a few.
