Those pre-holiday deliveries might be over, but if you're happy to wait until after the big day, there's an incredible deal on an MSI gaming PC that you'll want to take a look at. MSI's US store has dropped the price of the MSI Aegis Z2 by a whopping $650, scoring you a rig with an eight-core AMD Ryzen CPU, along with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card.

The AMD Ryzen 7 8700F is a decent enough mid-tier workhouse CPU, but it's the Nvidia graphics card installed in this MSI machine that really makes a difference here. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is a top-end card built for serious 1440p gaming, featuring 8,960 CUDA cores and 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM on a 256-bit memory bus, and one that scored highly in our RTX 5070 Ti review.

What that translates to, as far as gaming potential is concerned, is a GPU that'll hit high frame rates with high and ultra graphics presets at 1440p and even 4K, without ray tracing. In games where RT is used, the GPU benchmarks from our review, which you'll also see below, show it handling 1440p above 60fps on average pretty consistently on ultra, although your mileage will vary at 4K. That said, 4K performance improves with Nvidia DLSS 4 support on this current-gen GPU, with multi-frame generation able to boost frame rates considerably in some cases.

For a PC priced under $1,650, there are surprisingly few compromises to spot elsewhere in this rig. It features MSI's own B840-VC WiFi 3 motherboard, with full support for other AM5 CPUs, giving you plenty of scope (and longevity) for upgrades, especially if you decide to replace the 8700F CPU. A 750W 80+ Gold power supply is installed here, which matches the recommendations for an RTX 5070 Ti, but a more powerful GPU or CPU upgrade might require you to replace it.

This build also comes with 32GB of DDR5 RAM, rated for 6000 MT/s, along with a huge 2TB M.2 NVMe SSD, giving you plenty of storage for an ever-growing game collection. It has WiFi 6E support and Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless connectivity, along with plenty of USB-C and USB-A ports.

This is arguably one of the best-priced gaming PCs you can buy right now, especially if you're looking to leave 1080p gaming in the past. A solid, capable 1440p gaming PC like this MSI Aegis Z2 rig is well worth the $1,649 sale price, but with these specs, don't expect it to stick around for very long.
