Want to treat yourself to a seriously good laptop this Christmas? Best Buy has just surprised us with a surprise last-minute Christmas Eve deal on the stunning MacBook Air 15, bringing the latest model down to just $949 (was $1,199).

Today's price matches the previous record-low from Black Friday, which in itself isn't particularly newsworthy. What makes this deal so good, however, is that you can stack the upfront discount with the retailer's excellent trade-in service for a hefty rebate.

You can check out our Apple MacBook Air 15-inch (M4) review for an in-depth overview of this excellent machine. In short, we're big fans of this latest iteration. While it's definitely more of an evolution rather than a revolution compared to the previous model, in terms of performance, design, and ease-of-use, it doesn't get much better than this.

With a 15-inch display, the MacBook Air 15 is a fantastic choice if you're working on your machine for longer stints. You get more screen real estate, better speakers, and comparable power and battery life. It's a little less portable than the 13-inch, but it's still an exceptionally thin and lightweight machine for most people.
