Star Wars Celebration is underway in Japan, and that means new stuff. Amid the movie and TV reveals, we’ve now got a look at some hot new toys you’ll be able to buy in the coming months. In the past few weeks, Hasbro showed off Black Series figures for Han Solo, Chewbacca, and the Ronin, and its recent panel had even more figures joining the Black and Vintage Collection lines.
Fans of the former will be pleased to hear fan-favorite smuggler Dash Rendar ($25) is getting a Black figure. Cal Kestis ($45) and Nightsister Merrin ($25) from Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi games also join the Black Series lineup—Cal comes with his trusty droid BD-1, different lightsabers, and a blaster to represent his various in-game stances, a second head with his mullet and handlebar mustache, plus Jedi Survivor NPCs Turgle and Skoova Stev. Finally, there’s the helmet of a Clone Trooper from the 501st Legion ($100) inspired by the Ahsoka series.
Meanwhile, the Vintage lineup consists of a Merrin figure similar to her Black Series counterpart, a Jedi Survivor Rocket Launcher Trooper, The Mandalorian’s Cobb Vanth (pre-Cad Bane shooting) and Moff Gideon (in his Dark Trooper armor), and Crosshair from Star Wars: The Bad Batch. Hasbro’s press release also featured a Power Crystal Lightsaber aimed at kids age 4 and up that comes with 10 colored kyber crystals to let them feel like their favorite Force user. The Vintage Collection toys are $17 individually, and the Power Crystal Lightsaber is $45.
Most of the listed toys will be purchasable sometime later this summer—the Trooper Helmet will be available at specific GameStop locations on May 4 (aka Star Wars Day), and the Power Crystal Lightsaber at “most major retailers” sometime in the fall.
