If you don’t live in Los Angeles, and you weren’t lucky enough to score a ticket to John Carpenter‘s live show celebrating all the music composed by the horror master—including, obviously, the iconic soundtrack for Halloween—you have a second option no matter where you live in the world: concert livestream “John Carpenter Live: Halloween From Los Angeles.”
Of course, that comes with a slight caveat, since the livestream will happen exactly as Carpenter’s concert does—starting at 8 p.m. PT on Friday, October 31. On the East Coast, that’s 11 p.m. (hey, it is a Friday), but depending on your location, the start time might be less convenient.
Still, it sounds worth waiting up for. According to a press release, the show features Carpenter, along with collaborators Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies, ripping through the filmmaker’s “most iconic themes and fan favorites on Halloween night the way they were meant to be heard. This fall 2025 mini-tour marks Carpenter’s first public performances since 2018.”
Carpenter’s musical body of work includes scores for over 20 films—Halloween (and Halloween II and III), Escape From New York, The Fog, Big Trouble in Little China, Prince of Darkness, They Live, In the Mouth of Madness, and more—plus four albums of cinematic instrumentals, Lost Themes. The concert features Carpenter and the other musicians performing onstage with movie clips and other visuals to add to the spooky atmosphere.
The livestream concert is a ticketed event—you can find out more details on John Carpenter’s website, but you can watch for $20 through Veeps.com, or sign up for a Screambox subscription ($7 a month or $60 per year). This will be Screambox’s first live streaming event, presented with Bloody Disgusting and Cineverse. Will you be putting the glasses on and tuning in?
